Lace Doily

This is a close up of the lace doily on my Tall Stems 2 piece. I love to use lace on my art quilt pieces, and this seems like a good application for it.

It is hard to tell here, but I used Tsukineko inks to paint the doily a mottled color so it was not "stark" against the red background. This was a suggestion from Deborah Stanley, and I think it improved it. It's good to have friends that give you tips to improve your work!
