A Funky Wrap

I don’t do a lot of crochet work, but I do like to have some projects to work on when lighting isn’t great. It is a good way of keeping my hands occupied while watching TV, for example.

The photo below shows a funky shoulder wrap that I recently completed. I made it using a variety of yarns and didn’t worry about whether the weight of the yarn matched or if the rows were a little off kilter.

I used some vintage buttons to finish it off. I’ll have to wait for cooler weather to make use of it!

Cactus in the Shrubbery

I went to the Nix Nature Center in Laguna Beach and walked up the trail a little ways and found this spot. There was a cool looking cactus in the shrubbery next to the trail. This is my painting of that cactus.
