Long Stems is just about done

I have just about finished this small wall hanging. I have to sew the facing down to the back still, but the beading is done and so is the machine quilting. I used Superior Threads Super Bright Orange thread in the red border. I quilted a leaf and stem on the red area. Then I sewed beads on the flowers in the center, made a beaded bow on the raffia on the stems, and put beads on the leaves in the border. These three photos show some of these details.

  1. Eileen, I love this piece. It has a very soft voice and the Bright Orange quilt thread in the border fits right in. You added just the right amount of beading. Mary Beth

  2. I agree with Mary Beth. The border really pulls out the design well. I love the little bow too! Great job!

  3. I love this piece too. Your choice of border frames pop the embroidered vase and completes the presentation. Your machine quilting choice of a leaf vine provides variation in size and the beads top it off beautifully. Great job Eileen! Best, Deborah
