I have just about finished this small wall hanging. I have to sew the facing down to the back still, but the beading is done and so is the machine quilting. I used Superior Threads Super Bright Orange thread in the red border. I quilted a leaf and stem on the red area. Then I sewed beads on the flowers in the center, made a beaded bow on the raffia on the stems, and put beads on the leaves in the border. These three photos show some of these details.
Eileen, I love this piece. It has a very soft voice and the Bright Orange quilt thread in the border fits right in. You added just the right amount of beading. Mary Beth
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mary Beth. The border really pulls out the design well. I love the little bow too! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love this piece too. Your choice of border frames pop the embroidered vase and completes the presentation. Your machine quilting choice of a leaf vine provides variation in size and the beads top it off beautifully. Great job Eileen! Best, Deborah
